This Wordpress Blog will serve a few purposes: First, I’m trying to find out whether or not 
Wordpress could eventually replace my “old” Website Schoolmaster’s Delight. But then, I’m trying to find out the potential of this blogging / podcasting tool for my teaching.
And - finally - it comes in more than handy as a platform for my participation in the blogging / podcasting workshops within EVO 2006 and 2007.
A few remarks about myself: I teach German, English and Media Studies at the Gymnasium Am Anger in Jena (Thuringia / Germany). Starting as early as 1992 I have been using the Internet in the classroom, beginning with E-Mail projects, going on with yahoo-groups etc, webquests, online story writing etc. Recently, my interest lies with blended learning scenarios of different kinds - this led to interesting experiments using Wiki, Moodle and the like in the classroom.

Here I am, paying a visit to your blog to thank you for the comment you left in mine.
Your experience in IT resources is very impressive. I hope you find everything you wanted to know about Wordpress. So far there are features I like and some I don´t like, like not being able to add html. I need to be patient and wait because later on in OWP there might be more information on how to use Wordpress successfully for educational purposes.
